Tasmania Chair Position – Regional Development Australia

The Hon Kristy McBain MP, Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories, has announced new Funding Agreements for all Regional Development Australia (RDA) Boards/Committees. These agreements, running from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2030, will provide vital support for regional development across Australia.

In line with these agreements, the RDA Tasmania Chair position is open for reappointment.

As Chair, you will lead the strategic direction of RDA Tasmania, ensuring the delivery of outcomes that foster regional economic development and actively driving initiatives and partnerships to unlock economic growth opportunities.

The position requires a proactive leader passionate about Tasmania’s regional development, ready to engage with stakeholders and deliver impactful results.

Successful applicants will commence in their role from 1 April 2025. 

Applicants will need to respond to selection criteria, based on the RDA Charter, which addresses the requirements of the role.
