 **Tasmania's Inaugural New Energy Symposium 2026**

Regional Development Australia Tasmania is proud to present the inaugural Tasmanian New Energy Symposium—a landmark event bringing together industry, government, and community to explore the future of the state’s energy transition. Tasmania stands at the forefront of Australia’s renewable energy transformation, with strong momentum in wind, hydro, hydrogen, and electrification.

  
In early 2026, RDA Tasmania supported the formation of Tasmania’s Young People in New Energy Network (YPNEN). YPNEN has been working closely with us to develop Tasmania’s Inaugural New Energy Symposium. Inspired by leading forums, the symposium will:  
\- Showcase Tasmania’s expanding new energy ecosystem  
\- Strengthen collaboration and learning within the sector  
\- Improve community understanding and participation

 **Celebrate Tasmania’s Regional Development Champions**

Join us on Thursday 12th November 2026 in Burnie for the Tasmanian Regional Development Champions Awards Night — a celebration of the people driving positive change in our regions.

Held at The Makers (UTAS Burnie Campus), this special evening will shine a spotlight on individuals making a real difference to regional development across the state.

Come along to enjoy great company, local food, and select beverages as we recognise the passion, innovation and impact of Tasmania’s regional champions.
